"[Belfast, Me. 1951 D576]" Street Scene, Buildings, Store, Signs [1830, Antiques], Fence, Lawn, Trees This image is the home of George F. Miller, M.D. and The Memory Shop (featuring an antique shop and accommodations for overnight guests) which was later, in the 1960s, the home of a local physician, Dr. Ward Albro and also the home of local bank president, Claude Clement. Mr. Clement was the first Maine resident to receive the "Friend of the 4-H" at the annual National 4-H banquet in Chicago in1962. In 1980 the Waldo County Humane Society in conjunction with County and Municipal support opened the Claude Clement Animal Shelter serving all of Waldo County.
