Steamboat VIRGINIA

VIRGINIA was a steamboat the ran to Boothbay Harbor from Bath, Maine. The small steamboat with Captain W. E. Farmer of Southport made two roundtrips daily until 1940. She was built in Bath in 1909 by Kelley, Spear & Co., designed by J. Arthur Stevens. Her capacity was 140 passengers. She was sold to Portland interests. In 1944 she was back in a Boothbay shipyard for repairs, where she burned.
