St. Michael's School, So. Berwick, Maine D525
A view of St. Michael's school in South Berwick, Maine. The building is a 3 story brick building with name carved into the granite stone abouve the door. A sidewalk leads from the road to the entrance. Bikes are parked at a bike rack to the left of the building. "This building is part of the South Berwick Village District on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1926 St. Michael's School was built which replaced a house that had been built by Dr. Charles Trafton. Hundreds of South Berwick children were taught at this school by the Sisters of St. Joseph until 1968. The town of South Berwick bought the school for its town hall in 1974."
