View at Stickney Cor ME, 6,

This photograph gives us a view of Stickney Corner, which is part of Washington, Maine. Several of the villagers appear to be posing for this photograph. There are three horse drawn carriages in the photograph as well. The Stickney Corner Post Office is the white building on the left. The view was taken from Route 220 looking north. The building in the center was a store or carrige shop. There are telephone poles visible behind the store. Benjamin K. Ware owned the Washington Phone Co. and he was also the town's undertaker."View looking northwest across the intersection of Waldoboro Road (Route 220) and Calderwood Road. The building to the left, at the northwest corner of the intersection, is the Post Office and was still extant in 2018. (Two dormers have been added since this photo was taken)." -- Ben Stickney  2023
