View of Stonington Me. 32a.

"View of Stonington Me. 32a." Panoramic image of the Stonington waterfront, looking north around 1910. Behind a calm harbor of moored sloops and peapods is a comprehensive view of the shops, warehouses, stores and homes of the granite- bound town. The clearly marked Opera House, easily seen from the harbor, is at the left, and Dr. B. Lake Noyes' mansion, with its porches and tower, near the center. Just below it, across Main Street on the waterfront, is the Odd Fellows Hall. The two-story shingled building with the gable roof parallel to the street is Al Turner's blacksmith shop. Beside it, in the Mansard-roofed building, is the Stonington Furniture Company, which was run by Lewis Marcus and his daughter, Sadie. The Hotel Stonington is at the far left.
