Schooners Arrive at Rockport
Cruise schooners were gathering in Rockport Harbor in this 1950s photograph. Three are in the foreground and two more are arriving at the right. All are carrying passengers and probably are based at Camden and Rockland harbors. These "windjammers" have been popular in Penobscot Bay since the 1930s, taking tourists on sails that last from a few hours to a week.
