Model of Messenger Line and Chest
Wooden model of a breeches buoy messenger line and chest with cotton line and rope beckets and ropes on pegs. Platform with pegs to wind line around, a detachable bottom plate used to push line off pins, line wound around pegs in a pattern, wooden lid has rope beckets in wooden handles, pegs on ropes fit through hole in lid and hole in cradle attached to base that fits around the wooden handles on the lid. Blue paint on base and detachable bottom plate to match up two parts. Purple sticker on bottom:"Messenger line & chest- for Lisle gun beach rescue gear / Model made by Robert Beattie."
