Textile, clothing: baby's white christening dress

White cotton christening dress. Pintucked yoke with panels of embroidery. Yoke is edged with cotton eyelet lace. Collar is edged with matching lace. Armscyes are piped. Cuff of sleeve has two rows of matching eyelet lace faceing. Dress closes at back yoke with buttons, now missing. Bottom of skirt had 6 rows of pin tucks and is edges with cotton lace which matches but is not the same as the lace panels in the yoke. Machine and handsewn. All clothing was found in a paper bag in John Roulstone's attic in summer of 2006. Clothing may have belonged to John's grandmother or mother. Condition: good
