Canvas covered rowboat
Rowboat: canvas covered in 1939 and outboard motor bracket boards added. Dimensions: 13' (length) x 4' 4 3/4" (width) 2' (depth of keel at transom). Green interior and exterior. This row boat was made by a native American in Old Town, Maine. It was possibly built for (or given to) Hodie Ballard Keith (1868-1933) when she was 12 years old. Mrs. Keith is the grandmother of the donor (Alfred J. Keith II.) Boat has been skillfully canvassed. Transom is out as are the sternsheet/ side bench rear thwart structure.
