Lincolnville wherry, CUNNER, for outboard

A wooden modified Lincolnville Wherry, CUNNER. 16' L x 5' 6" beam x 3' 4.5" deep. Built by Walter Alexander, assisted by Osbourne Wade, in Duck Trap, ME 1945-6. Teal color, exterior darker than interior, wood trim. Originally owned by Fred S. Carver. Modified for outboard. Copper fastenings. Unrestored. Lapstrake construction with cedar over oak frames, 10 planks per side and fastened with copper rivets and burrs. 7 b/w photos of CUNNER & 1 b/w neg. of same.
