St. Croix River Wherry
St. Croix River Wherry. Originally purchased by the family of the donor (Mrs. David R. (Ann) Hilton) in the mid-1920's as a used boat which was "not a new boat". Restored in the mid-1980s by the donor's family. 13'3" x 4'7"beam x 1'11"D. White lapstrake w. gray interior. Closed gunwale construction with built down skeg. Originally iron clench fastened, most have been replaced with ss bolts. stern skeg rounded for grounding. Carvel construction, with three rowing stations (2 with hardware attached) and three seats.
