Steamboat RUTH

RUTH was a steamboat built in 1894 for the Brooksville and Bangor Steamboat Co. from the same plans as the GOV. BODWELL. She was built at the Gilchrest yard in Rockland, Maine. In 1910 she was sold, re-named ATLANTIC, and went to New York City for two years. From 1912-1916 she was registered in Washington, DC. In 1925 she was in Charleston, South Carolina. She went aground in the Cooper River in South Carolina.
