Steamboat ANGLER

The sidewheel steamboat ANGLER worked in New York from 1892 to 1915. Built in 1878 at Wilmington, Deleware, she was originally named MARY MORGAN and worked for several years on the Rockland, Maine, to Bangor run. In 1915 she was re-named W. L. DAVIS and was working on the Potomac River near Washington, DC. In 1917 her name was changed to E. MADISON HALL, still in Washington. In 1935 she received a diesel engine and was converted to a freighter. She later worked in Baltimore and Virginia and was still afloat as a barge in 1947. Her original dimensions were 166.5 ft. length, 28 ft. beam, and 9 ft. draft. She was rated 410 gross tons.
