Coiling Lines on the Foredeck of the schooner RACHAEL B. JACKSON

The 52' keel schooner RACHAEL B. JACKSON was designed by Frost & Emery and built in 1982 by George Emery in Freeport, Maine.

Onboard the schooner RACHAEL B. JACKSON, the photographer's son Nat Bray coils a line. The identity of the young girl scooching amid the coiled rope in the foreground is unknown. The vessel had recently returned from Bermuda where she had participated in the Tall Ships gathering during which Nat made up part of the crew, and on this day she was heading to Rockland from Brooklin, Maine.
