Ted Spurling noted a feeling among old-time lobstermen that " nothing fishes like wood". But he asserted, "There's nothing to that". I've been fishing the plastic traps over six years, and I am convinced that they fish just as good as any wooden trap. There's no doubt about it." [no NF ref]
