Men aboard a factory ship bringing the catch aboard for processing, aboard the ALEUTIAN MISTRESS "Overhead of roller: When they are on the fish the rollermen must work swiftly or slow down the entire process by idling the gurdy. As the speed of the incoming gear decreases the chance of a potential foul up increases as the boat drifts and pivots in the seas. The hooks are spaced about 41/2 ' apart along the strings. Here it looks like a healthy pick up of one fish per hook." [ref NF 10/1981 no page]
