Man in foul weather gear cutting into a fish aboard the ALEUTIAN MISTRESS "Man filleting one cod: Most of the cod aboard the MISTRESS's first trip was hand filleted. Pin bones, fins, collar bones etc. were all removed before the fish was washed, finaly checked, boxed and blast frozen. The MISTRESS is now fitted out with large enough machinery that all the filleting in the future will automatically done. Crewmen who began the season doing one fish per minute filleting were filleting 4 or 5 each minute.( better quality too) by the end of the third trip." [ref NF 10/81 no page]
