Achorn's Department Store was located on Main Street for many years, and owned in the 50s by Mr. William Kelley. We natives miss that store, as it carried yarn, dry goods, thread and clothing. It was there for many years, first owned by Follenesbee & Wood. You could always find anything for sewing at Achorn's.
