Image of the Belfast & Moosehead Lake Railroad steam locomotive No.19, formerly Bangor & Aroostook No. 54 in the Belfast yard being cut up for scrap with numerous parts resting on the ground nearby. The engine is missing much of its front. A man is seen working atop the intact, rear section. This is one of a series of photographs staged to be used for an article in Life Magazine in 1950.
