Untitled
Image of a portrait of a man, photographed as a copy negative. Visible in image: A portrait of a man with thinning hair wearing a tailcoat. vest, white shirt with high standing collar, and a wide necktie tied in a bow. The style of necktie and shirt collar and the velvet patches on the .coat collar suggest that the original portrait was made in the 1850s or 1860s. The blank frame around the man's head is actually a paper frame, tan with pink decorations, that has been glued to the glass plate. Caption on negative sleeve/reverse of print: "014--Scrooge Portrait" in pen on the negative sleeve, in a more modern hand than most original Perkins negative sleeve notations. The identity of the man in the portrait is currently unknown.
