Image of a three-masted schooner sailing past Popham Village. Visible in image: A three-masted schooner under full sail passes Popham Village on the way up the Kennebec River. Two other small sailboats are moored in the river. Cottages of Georgetown's Bay Point are in the foreground, while the tip of Gilbert Head enters the picture at right. The Riverside Hotel and the church steeple can be made out at left across the river, while Fort Popham and its bell tower lie ahead of the schooner.
