Image of a man posing at the helm of a ship. Visible in image: A man with a generous beard stands gripping a spoked ship's wheel. He is wearing foul-weather gear and has a pipe between his teeth. Canvas spray shields are rigged around the open bridge on which he stands, although shadows on those shields clearly indicate sunny weather. Also visible on the bridge are the binnacle, leftmost, and engine room telegraph, above the wheel. No other information is presently known about this photograph.
