Image of a girl posing as if she is drawing water from a hand pump. Visible in image: A girl wearing a white dress with a dark ribbon in her hair poses in the process of filling a galvanized bucket from a hand pump. The pump is situated near a tree and next to a low wall of small stones. A larger stone wall can be seen in the background, as can a small house or shed, and a mowed field dotted with trees. What appears to be a grindstone is visible under the tree in the immediate background. A cut-down barrel on the ground near the pump holds additional water. The girl's costume does not seem appropriate for the occasion. No other information about this photograph is presently known.
