Untitled
Image of a middle-aged woman sitting for an art portrait. Visible in image: The photograph is a head-and-shoulders portrait of a middle-aged woman affecting a pseudo-Classical style in her costume, visible mainly as a tulle wrap worn off one shoulder. Nathan Lipfert, Senior Curator, Maine Maritime Museum, Bath, notes that this may be a formal portrit of Harry Donnell's sister Clara Augusta "Gussie" Donnell, although it is difficult to tell for sure. She sat for other portraits as well (accession numbers LB2009.13.402, 403, 404).
