Steamboat landing
Image of a steamboat landing (exact location not given) somewhere on Capt. J. E. Perkins's travels. Visible in image: A wharf extends out from shore with a cluster of houses all around. A sloop and a sloop-rigged sailing scow are moored just offshore. The landing appears to be in the lee of a long point of land which is sparsely built up, with only one large house at the end.
