Scene from Ingraham house to Cox's Head
Image of the houses at Popham Village, Maine, between the village proper and Sabino Hill to the west, looking north from the Ingraham house across Atkins Bay toward Cox's Head. Visible in image: Houses behind Popham Village with Sabino Hill in the background. The second house from right appears to be the home of J. E. Perkins. Cox's Head is visible across Atkins Bay in the background. Two carriages, one drawn by a white horse and one by a black, are following the road into the village immediately to the right of the rightmost house. Visible on the extreme right of the photograph are two masted boats hauled up on shore, the horse tie-up shed of Society Hall, and a small steamboat appears to be moored to the dock in outer Atkins Bay at the very edge of the photograph. The shadow of the Ingraham house is visible in the right foreground.
