Rockledge

Image of the Hotel Rockledge at Popham in Phippsburg, Maine. Visible in image: The Hotel Rockledge, built in 1881 and burned in 1915, stands on the ledges that lent the building its name. This view shows the hotel as it faced the beach and the waters beyond, with three wings of guest rooms and a smaller projecting wing, all amply provided with porches. The boardwalk that ran the entire length of the beach can be seen in the bottom of the photograph.
