Riverside Hotel
Image of many people congregating in front of the Riverside Hotel in Popham village, Maine. Visible in image: Many men and boys in summer dress--shirtsleeves, straw hats, and knickerbockers--sit on the porch of the Riverside Hotel, lean on the roof pillars, or stand on the grass in front of the hotel. A few women in light blouses and dark skirts appear to be sitting near the hammock, and a little girl is sitting with her legs over the edge of the porch at the far end. The man standing with a wide stance on the walkway and the young man facing away from the camera with an arm raised almost appear to be playing catch. Sheets dry on lines behind the hotel.
