Ice jam
Image of an ice jam in the Kennebec River, Maine. Visible in image: A view from the bow of a steam vessel of ice in the Kennebec. The vessel's jack staff, anchor windlass, and gunwales are visible. The name of the boat is unknown, but the detail of the gunwales in the extreme bows does not match that of any of the small steamboats shown in One Man's World. It may not be a passenger steamboat at all.
