End of Day

From collection J. E. Perkins Collection

End of Day

Image of a pastoral scene with a rail fence, pond, barn, and haystacks. Visible in image: A country scene showing a rail fence and weedy pond in the foreground, with a dirt road leading up to a group of barns and sheds in the background. Around the buildings are haystacks, trees, and what appears to be a planted plot or pen of densely-packed animals on the right. The industrial age appears in the form of a utility pole at left, beyond the pond. Caption: "353 - End of Day" is written in ink along one long edge of the plate, and the number "353" is written on a small adhesive label in one corner. There are penciled crop or alignment marks on the emulsion side of the plate. This plate appears to be a triple exposure or possibly a triple copy by J. E. Perkins. No other information about this photograph is presently known.
