Bath waterfront
Image of the Bath, Maine waterfront between 1894 and 1909. Visible in image: the three-masted schooner NATHAN LAWRENCE and an anonymous barkentine moored to the docks at Bath. The Maine Central Railroad's train ferry HERCULES crosses the river toward Woolwich. Men and horses are visible on the waterfront, as well as signs advertising corn flour and "Pippins" and warning of an underwater telephone cable. A two-masted and a four-masted schooner are moored further down-river. Note the boxcars and rails run over the water on pilings. Caption on negative sleeve/reverse of print: "The Anderson Pharmacy, Bath ME Publishers Water Front, Bath."
