A new boat with steam-bent frames installed and boatwrights planking up the sailboat's hull at Morse Boatbuilding. The strakes are being attached to the frames by trunnels. A trunnel, treenail or trennel, is a wooden peg, pin, or dowel used to fasten a boat's strakes to the boat frames. Locust is a favorite wood when making trunnels in shipbuilding due to its strength and rot resistance. Marguit Matts Norse Ketch # 2 and #3.
