Square Pond lies roughly 30 miles north of Kittery near the western Maine border. The shallow pond covers 877 acres and feeds into Mousam lake to the south. Numerous cabins and cottages cluster along its 10.8 mile shoreline; it's a popular vacation and fishing spot.
