Gliddon Hall was one of the dormitories at Nasson College in Springvale, Maine. At the time of the photo it was a men's residence building. The grand mansion like building features columns and a balcony. A fire escape is visible on the left side. Nasson Institute was established in 1912 as a 2 year womans program. It changed its name to Nasson College in 1935 and became a 4 year liberal arts college. It became co-ed in 1952. At its height in the 1960s it had approximately 900 students. It declared bankruptcy in 1982 and closed permanantly in 1983.
