Enlargement and new machinery having been installed, the grist mill's daily output was 1000 bushels per day (1905).On the right-hand side of the bridge approach a sign can be seen informing the driver that Jonesboro is 7 miles down the road to the right. On the far side of the bridge a flivver can be seen approaching. To its left the Machias Electric Company's electric plant can be seen.
