P.O. Sheridan ME. 101
Image of several people standing in front of a rudimentary frame building which faces a dirt wagon path. Other small frame houses stand adjacent with treeless yards. The building is a rural post office in a section of Sheridan that appears more hardscrabble. The man in the group may be the Postmaster, the two women his wife and daughter. A gang of boys variously pose and fool around while the picture is being taken. It is a warm day - windows are thrown open, the screen door is on, and the women wear cotton blouses and lighter weight skirts. "Tudor Tea" signs are posted in the window. "POST OFFICE" is hand painted above the screen door.
