N.E. Telephone office as the hospital in the 1957 film Peyton Place The New England Telephone & Telegraph office (built in 1929) on Church Street across from the First Church was used as the Peyton Place Hospital for the 1957 film "Peyton Place". The building currently (2014) houses the District Court House. The actor Lloyd Nolan (as Dr. Mathew Swain) can be seen just to the left of the automobile.
