Nealy's Store & Post Office, Jericho Ctr., VT., 346.

View of a post office, general store and early automobile in the village of Jericho Center, VT. The summertime scene is the W.S. Nealy Store and Post Office, housed side-by-side in a four-bay house converted for commercial use. The building is framed by mature trees, one of which is an Elm; a motor car is parked in front. A mid-19th century carriage barn stands at the back of the lot at the end of the driveway. A gas pump is mounted on a stone or concrete slab at the end of the wooden porch, accessible to the street. The presence of a general store and post office likely signified the center of town, at a time when the US Postal Service might rent space in a local shop.
