Ball's Inn ( Virginia Farm) West Sullivan, Me. 13

Ball's Inn ( Virginia Farm) West Sullivan, Me. a two and a half story farm house with open farmer's porch on three sides; large three story barn with a cupola. Roadster coupe parked. "The Virginia Farm card was my Great grandparents' Linwood A and Mary Gray's home from 1930-1979. The house was a show case home. The house was built by William Clapham in 1814 and was the Ball's Inn for a few years in the 1920s. Balls Inn was listed in the Maine Register for 1923 and 1924. The Inn was only open for a few years. I don't know why it's also called Virginia Farm. I noticed a man sitting on the porch and standing by the car in the photos but I don't think it is Linwood Gray. Maybe, but don't think so. Photo may have been taken before Linwood owned the house. The house still stands today but is in disrepair." -- Karin & Barbara Larson
