Northern ME Junc. 19
Image shows the Northern Maine Junction railroad yard, including the Bangor & Aroostook car shop (middle to right side of photo), tracks and spurs, and a tall water tower. Freight cars and a flat car stand on the tracks. At the far left one can see a tall building with an overhead extending to the left. The bridge contains a coal conveyor to supply locomotives. This was the major junction or interchange of the Maine Central and the Bangor & Aroostook lines completed in 1905 to faciitate the transport of potatoes and manufactured paper.
