The N.A.Wessels (owned by Nicholas & Tillie Wessell) residence at 332 Main Street, Stockholm, ME., a large home with gabled roof, wide veranda with railings all around; a wide lawn and decorative trees. Other homes can be seen further along the same road. Mr. Wessels had a small store on the southern side of the property. Mrs. Wessell had two dining room tables and served meals to “visitors” in town. They also boarded male teachers and let out rooms for the night. Frederick (1912–2008) & Merrita (1912-1996) Anderson lived there from 1940 – 2008. Their daughters sold the house in 2013. The house above it was torn down in 1985.
