Color transparency. c. 1960, of Colonial Gables Motel and Housekeeping Cottages on Route 1 in Belfast, ME. The aerial view shows a one-story motel facing Route 1 with cabins extending down to the shore of Penobscot Bay. On the opposite side of Route one are several additional cabins. According to a business card from the period, Colonial Gables offered private baths, kitchenettes, swimming and fishing. Proprietors were Mr. and Mrs. L. Perry.
