Old Man Mending A Fishing Net, 18 In this photograph and old man is mending his purse seine (net). The purse seine is draped over an oar to make it easier to work on. On the right is a small mast and boom, wrapped with its sail, probably used on his dory. To its right there is a firkin which could have been used for bait or salt or even fish.
