The Civil War Monument (Monument Square) and Mrs. Hunt's store (on the right) at the intersection of Bull Ring Road & Main Street, Routes 117 & 160, Denmark, Maine Denmark's Civil War Monument, seen at the center, was dedicated June 26, 1913. The monument was sculpted of Westerly granite by John Horrigan of Quincy, Massachusetts. The principal inscriptions are 1861-1865 - To Patriotism And Valor - Erected By The Town of Denmark In Grateful Recognition Of The Services Of Her Sons
