Grocery Store "Tibbits Store". SOURCE/summer 2009 - Peter Freeman. "General store and post office was run by the Tibbits family. Mrs. Tibbits was the post mistress. Mr. Tibbits ran the store and they had three sons - Royce, Richard and ? The porch was the meeting point for the kids in their teens. The mail would arrive about 4 or 4:30 in the afternoon and it was the meeting place. They gathered to wait for Mrs. Tibbits to sort the mail. Pete would beg a nickel from his grandmother, Alma Clarke, to buy an orange popsicle. He loved popsicles!!"" --Bayside Historical Preservation Society, 2009/2010
