"McKenney's Wharf Winterport, Me. 615." McKenney's Wharf, Winterport, Maine ca 1915 McKenny's wharf was located upriver from the Ferry Wharf. In the 1930s, boats loaded with coal came into this wharf and unloaded coal into trucks. The building in back of the McKenney Wharf in this picture, and upriver from it, housed lumber and building materials. There was a flour mill upriver beyond this picture as well. Don Nelson remembers fishing off the McKenney Wharf when he was a child living in Winterport.
