High School, Searsport, Maine 208

The photo is of a group of school children in front of high school on Mount Ephraim Rd in Searsport, Maine.This building, also known as the brick school, was built in 1865. It housed elemtary through high school until 1930 at which time the elementary classes were moved to a new building and only high school classes were held here until a new high school was built on Mortland Road in 1952. This building was later sold and was converted into apartments.
