Boating and Clam Roast at Penobscot Park, Searsport, Maine

In this photo there is a group of people steaming clams on the shore while others seem to being enjoying a leisure row on the water. Located at Kidder Point near Sears Island, Penobscot Park was developed as a recreation area by the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad in 1906. It was served by an excursion train for about 10 years.
