The scene is of a group of men and women gathered on the porch of the Penobscot Park pavilion. Located at Kidder Point near Sears Island, Penobscot Park was developed as a recreation area by the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad in 1906. It was served by an excursion train for about 10 years.
