This image shows a large group of school children and their teachers standing in front of the Union School on Mt. Ephraim Road in about 1910. The kids are kindergarten and early elementary school aged. The image is simiilar to LB2007.1.111177, which shows an older group of children and is shot from slightly farther away. The large brick French Second Empire school was built in 1865 to serve elementary and high school classes. The structure is now an apartment buiding and generally intact, although it no longer retains its bell tower.
